Government to avail HUDCO loan to hasten ITIR

Karnataka government has resolved to avail loan from public sector undertaking; Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) to fast track prestigious Information Technology Investment (ITIR) project.

A high committee chaired by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, which met here on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to all needful to complete the project in a time-bound manner and create confidence among the investors.

A senior official, who is privy to the meeting, disclosed that, the Chief Minister asked the officials to explore the possibility of availing loan from HUDCO pay compensation to land owners in and around Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) who will sacrifice their land for development of ITIR.

It is learnt that Mr. Siddaramaiah told the officials not to delay the land acquisition, as that would prove detrimental for the development of the first phase of the flagship project of state, which should be completed by 2020.
