Global tenders had been invited for expression of interest to suggest measures for regaining the legitimate share of the State in the Tungabhadra reservoir at Hosapate which was flowing unused into the river, said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Responding to questions at Jindal airport here on Saturday, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that the State government was keen to have measures not only for removing 34 tmcft silt that had accumulated in the reservoir but also to set up alternative methods to prevent the State’s share of water going waste into the river.
