GASTROCON-2016 in Mysuru from Saturday

GASTROCON-2016 will be inaugurated at the JSS Hospital in the district on September 24. The two-day conference has been jointly organised by the Indian Society of gastroenterology, Karnataka chapter, Mysore Gastro Forum and the Department of gastroenterology and Hepatology, JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru.

The conference will see discussions on advances in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Eminent alumni from premier institutes such as AIIMS New Delhi, SGPGI, PGI Chandigarh, GB Pant Hospital, KEM Hospital, SMS Jaipur, and professionals from major corporate hospitals across the country will present topics, moderate and chair sessions at the meet.

A press release from the hospital said the conference will be an excellent opportunity for gastroenterologists, physicians, surgeons, and family physicians to update their knowledge.

Surgical gastroenterology, transplant Hepatology and GI interventional radiology will be discussed, the release added.

Interaction

DM/DNB trainees, DM/MCh aspirants and postgraduates in medicine, surgery and paediatrics can interact with senior doctors and national faculty.

H.P. Nandeesh, organising secretary, GASTROCON-2016, said that around 300 delegates from various specialities are expected to attend.
