The revenue department officials seized four buses belonging to the various educational institutions run by the Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society (HKES) for not clearing the long pending clinical fee dues to the State government for using the government hospital as teaching hospital by the Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College run by the Society.

The State government had issued notices to the HKE society for clearing Rs 45.27 lakhs as clinical fees for using the Government General Hospital in Kalaburagi as teaching hospital prior to the Medical College constructing the Basaveshwar Teaching and General Hospital in 2002-03.

The revenue department officials who tried to seize the vehicles, as per the directions of the State government to collect the dues from the HKE Society, a couple of days back in the Medical College returned empty handed since all the vehicles, particularly the buses used for transporting the students were not to be found in the college.

Meanwhile on Monday, government officials seized two buses from S. Nijalingappa Dental College and one each bus from the PDA College of Engineering and HKE Societies Nursing Colleges.

Fearing more number of seizures, the authorities of all the educational institutions run by the society moved their vehicles to safety from the college premises and at present none of the colleges were providing transport facilities to their students.
