Former MLA Gangadharan passes away

H. Gangadharan, Former MLA, died at a private hospital in Mysuru on Saturday.

Mr. Gangadharan, 92, who lost his wife Annapoorna about two months ago, leaves behind two sons, G. Prasad and G. Prakash, and grandchildren.

He had represented Krishnaraja Assembly twice — as a Janata Party member in 1978, and as a BJP member in 1983.

An advocate by profession, Mr. Gangadharan had also served as president of the Mysore Bar Association.

He had been ailing for some time and was admitted to JSS Hospital in Mysuru for more than a month.

His mortal remains were for placed for public viewing at his residence in Chamarajapuram. Later, the body was taken in a procession through Ramanuja Road before it was handed over to JSS Medical College.
