The former Minister M.P. Renukacharya has said that he has not earned any disproportionate wealth and some vested interests are trying to tarnish his image by filing a false complaint against him.
Addressing reporters here on Wednesday, he said that the information given to the Election Commission was genuine and that he paid income taxes promptly.
“If the authorities concerned find me guilty of the complaint filed by the RTI activist, I will retire from politics,” he added.
He also said that transparency had been maintained in all the development work that had been taken up during his tenure as Minister in the constituency and other places and work orders had been issued to eligible persons. No work had been allotted to his brothers or relatives, he said.
The former Minister also informed that he would completely cooperate with the investigating officers as he was confident of getting clean chit.
Commenting on the failure of the Congress government, he said that the development work in the State had come to a standstill due to the negligent and lethargic attitude of Ministers and the Chief Minister. Instead of protecting the interests of the poor and the downtroddenthe Cabinet colleagues of Mr. Siddaramaiah are looting public money, he alleged.
