Five injured in gas cylinder blast

Fiver persons including four students were injured in a gas cylinder blast at Maruthi Vidya Kendra in Belagumba in Tumakuru on Monday. The gas cylinder is used to fill balloons.

The police said that the Sriramulu of Pavagada taluk in the district, selling balloons, was seriously injured in the blast and four class 10 standard students of Maruthi Vidya Kendra sustained minor injuries. The students are Nitesh, Puneet, Harsha and Kiran.

Sriramulu is being treated at the District Government hospital and the children are being treated in a private hospital.
