In a first, the Lokayukta police on Saturday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against one of their own superintendents of police (SP) following the October 8 direction of the Special Lokayukta Court.
Lokayukta Additional Director-General of Police H.N.S. Rao registered an FIR against Lokayukta Superintendent of Police (Bangalore Urban) P.K. Shivshankar and Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner M.K. Aiyappa under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code.
