Three people of a family died on-the-spot when a KSRTC bus collided with a car near Gonibeedu near Mudigere during the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Krishna (55), his wife Sharada (52) and their daughter Lavanya (25). Lavanya’s marriage was scheduled to be held on May 15. They were residents of Bettagere in Mudigere taluk.
The family members were returning to their native place after a visit to Bengaluru. They had been to Bengaluru to purchase gold and clothes for the marriage.
Gonibeedu police have registered the case.
