Families of three dead farmers sanctioned compensation

Families of three farmers, who committed suicide, were sanctioned compensation of Rs. 2 lakh each in Mysuru district. Families Shivalingegowda, son of Marigowda in Siddegowdanahundi village in Hullahalli hobli in Nanjangudu taluk; Gurubasappa, son of Kalappa of Lalanahalli village in K.R. Nagar taluk; and Srinivas, son of Konagegowda in Adaguru village in K.R. Nagar taluk, were sanctioned the compensation. While the Chief Minister himself handed over the compensation to family of Shivalingegowda during his recent visit to Siddegowdanahundi village, it is yet to given to the families of two other farmers.

The other 11 farmers who committed suicide are Krishna, son of Nanjappa Singaramaranahalli in Hunsuru taluk; Karigowda, son of Bore Gowda of Moodalakoppalu in Piriyapatna taluk; Raje Gowda of Kiranguru village; Sannaswamy Gowda of Moodalakoppalu in Hunusur taluk; Mahadevanaika of Hullahalli in Nanjangud; Kumar of Hullahalli; T.K. Shivanna of Thimakapura, Piriyapatna taluk; Nateshmurthy of Madapura village, H.D. Kote; A.L. Manjunath of M. Hosahalli village in Piriyapatna taluk; Jagadish of Mammadikaval village, Piriyapatna taluk; and Shivaraje Gowda of Sannegowdana Colony, Hunsur taluk.
