Ex-servicmen may be deployed at district hospitals

Minister for Medical Education S.A. Ramdas has said that steps will be taken to employ ex-servicemen on security duty at district hospitals in the State. The Minister was speaking after a meeting at the Sainik Welfare Board here on Monday.

Mr. Ramdas said the government was aware of the problems of ex-servicemen. They could be addressed to some extent if security duty at the district hospitals was given to ex-servicemen. In this regard, steps would be taken, he added. The problems faced by ex-servicemen were brought to the notice of Mr. Ramdas, who is also the Minister in-charge of the district. The meeting was attended by ex-servicemen from Mysore, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar districts.
