The Lokayukta court on Thursday posted for orders to December 31 anticipatory bail pleas moved by Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa and two of his family members in a disproportionate asset case against them.

Judge R.M. Shettar posted for orders after conclusion of arguments.

Besides Mr. Eshwarappa, his son K.E. Kanthesh and his daughter-in-law Shalini are the other accused in the complaint filed by advocate Vinod.

The Lokayukta court has already directed Lokayukta police to investigate the complaint and submit its report by January 4.

On December 24, Lokayukta sleuths seized Rs. 10.9 lakh, 1.9 kg of gold and 37 kg of silver during searches at the residences of Mr. Eshwarappa and educational and business establishments allegedly belonging to him.
