‘Empower women to stop atrocities on them’

March 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - YADGIR:

Atrocities on women will only be prevented after women’s empowerment was strengthened, Jyothilatha Tadabidimath, lecturer, has said.

She was delivering the keynote address on a programme on women’s empowerment during the World Women’s Day celebrations here on Saturday. Expressing concern over the increasing numbers of atrocities on women and children, Ms. Tadabidimath said that attacks on women were becoming common. Therefore, agencies should take action against those allegedly responsible for atrocities on women, she added.
