The weather monitoring station set up at the Organic Farming Research Station at Nagenahalli near here has predicted dry weather in the region for the next three days.
Except for very light rainfall in Kodagu district, the weather monitoring station has predicted no rainfall in Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Mandya districts till May 26.
While the day temperature is expected to be 32 to 33 degrees centigrade in Mysuru and Mandya district, Chamarajanagar district is expected to be marginally hotter at 33 to 34 degrees centigrade. The temperature in Kodagu district is expected to be 27 to 28 degrees centigrade.
It may be mentioned here that Mysuru and surrounding regions were lashed with heavy pre-monsoon rain last week.
Officials at the weather monitoring station at Naganahalli, which has been set up by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) and University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), have advised farmers to take up ploughing or passing the cultivator in the areas, which had received rainfall. The process helps infiltration, conservation of rainwater and avoids soil erosion.
