State President of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sanga, Kodihalli Chandrashekar demanded the district administration not to arrest the innocent farmers in connection with the clash that took place on December 20 at Katigenahalli in which 10 police personnel and two villagers were injured.

Addressing the agitators in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Wednesday, Mr. Chandrashekar said that the district administration had promised that it will not arrest innocent farmers but it has arrested many and not kept its promise.

He said if the district administration provides the list of wanted farmers, they would be produced before the police.

Hundreds of farmers participated in the agitation.
