D.K. Ravi’s ‘Vaikunta Samaradhane’ held in Tumakuru

‘Vaikunta Samaradhane’ of IAS officer, D.K. Ravi was held at his native place, Doddakoppalu in Kunigal in the district in presence of family members on Friday.

Thousands of admirers of Ravi from Tumakuru, Kolar, Mandya and Ramanagara districts participated in the ritual to pay respect to the officer. Leader of Janata Dal(Secular), H.D.Revanna, State President of Okkaliga Sanga, Appaji gowda, MLA and JDS leader, D.Nagarajaiah, president of Tumakuru Zilla Panchayat, Y.H. Huchchaiah were the prominent persons who participated in the ritual.

Appaji Gowda handed over a cheque of Rs. 10 lakh to Gowramma, mother of D.K.Ravi. He then demanded the State government to give Rs. 5 crore to Ravi’s family.

H.D. Revanna said that a main road in the Kunigal town must be named after D.K. Ravi and a statue of Ravi must be erected in his memory in Kunigal.

Brother of Ravi, D.K. Ramesh’s son, Rohan Gowda performed all the rituals.
