D.K. Ravi’s parents participate in water stir in Kolar

Freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy to take part on Thursday

Parents of the deceased IAS officer D.K. Ravi Gowramma and Kariyappa participated in the 74th day of indefinite dharna being held in Kolar demanding permanent irrigation project to the arid region.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Gowramma said her son helped the people of Kolar when he worked as Deputy Commissioner here. “We are supporting the struggle of people of this district who have showered

love and affection on our son Ravi,” an emotional Gowramma said.

The indefinite stir enters 75th day on Thursday. Freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy and irrigation expert Madegowda are slated to take part in the stir on 75th day, along with Shivananda Shivacharya Mahaswamy of Hiremath, Tumakuru, said members of Shashwata Neeravari Horata Samiti, which is spearheading the stir.
