The Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) has directed owners/users of buildings and non-agriculture land to pay the property tax under the self-assessment scheme for 2016-17 by April 30 and get a discount of 5 per cent.
In a press release issued here on Monday, D. Manjunathayya, CMC Commissioner, said that the tax payers should pay the property tax within the prescribed time.
Those tax payers, who were yet to pay property tax for 2015-16 should pay their taxes immediately with the prescribed fine, he said.
