The State government signed an agreement with Tata Trusts and Tata Consultancy Services on Saturday to set up a digital nerve centre in Kolar on the lines of health transformation project of AIIMS in New Delhi.
Kolar has been identified as the district where the digital nerve centre would be set up, working with the State Department of Health and Family Welfare. The State government has agreed to provide the physical infrastructure and manpower to deliver services.
The targeted outcomes of the project include bringing 100% citizens in Kolar under the ambit of DiNC ecosystem; ensure that 95% of patients in Kolar are able to avail themselves of schemes under the Universal Health Coverage; creation of unique health identity card for all patients; increase utilisation of primary healthcare centres by 50%; reduce patient movement to district hospitals by 25%, and progressive digitisation of patient medical data by cent per cent.
Tata Trusts, through its corporate social responsibility grant, would support the procurement of the digital infrastructure required to set up the centre. TCS would provide the software, platform and services, and manage the overall technology implementation, training and change management, Health and Family Welfare Minister K.R. Ramesh Kumar said.
