Dharna enters ninth day

The indefinite dharna by contract labourers employed in government-run hostels and residential schools demanding action against the agencies which employed them, for their failure to credit the provident fund (PF) deducted from their salary and the employers’ contribution in PF accounts for the past seven years, entered its ninth day today. The workers protested in front of the main gate of the Regional Provident Fund office in Kalaburagi, demanding action against the officials of the PF department also for their failure to take action. .
