Dhananjaya Kumar to join Congress

Dhananjaya Kumar, who was minister of state for finance in Atal Bihari Vajpayee government has decided to join the ruling Congress in Karnataka on Thursday.

Mr. Kumar quit the BJP when former chief minister B.S. Yedyurappa quit the BJP and formed Karnataka Janata Paksha in 2012.

Mr. Kumar, who met AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi a few days ago, will join the Congress on Thursday in the presence of State congress president G. Parameshwara.
