Karnataka Industries Minister R.V. Deshpande on Wednesday said the battle between N.R. Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys and iconic figure in Indian industry, and the company’s board after CEO Vishal Sikka quit, “has shaken the investors and shareholders confidence.”

In a reply to a specific question on his opinion on the developments in the software major, Mr. Deshpande termed the developments in the Infosys as “unfortunate” and said such developments should not have happened.

“Truth is important. If there is no truth, then find out ways to find truth. Infosys is country’s pride,” Mr Deshpande, who is a keen observer of the stock market developments, told The Hindu .
