A highly decomposed body of a woman was found in a storm-water drain near Jnana Bharathi campus of Bangalore University on Sunday.

The police suspect this may be the body of Ningamma who was washed away in the drain upstream along with her daughter Pushpa on October 13 at Laggere. While Pushpa’s body was found two days later, the search teams called off operations on October 17. This was after combing operations till Shanamangala, near Bidadi, 41 km from the spot where the mother and daughter were washed away, yielded no results.
