Decision on BSR Congress soon: Venkaiah

March 12, 2014 02:52 pm | Updated May 19, 2016 08:06 am IST - BANGALORE:

Bharatiya Janata Party leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said the parliamentary board of the party would soon take a decision on the merger of the BSR Congress with the BJP and accommodating loyalists of the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa in the party.

Mr. Naidu told presspersons here that the party was in favour of the merger of the BSR Congress, led by former Minister B. Sriramulu. A final decision, however, would have to be taken by the board, he said. On Mr. Yeddyurappa’s letter to BJP national president Rajnath Singh, Mr. Naidu said the former Chief Minister had only given certain suggestions, which the central leadership would look into. It was not pouring out of any “grievance” as understood by the media, he said.
