Day and night temperatures continue to rise in HK

Day and night temperatures rose sharply in Hyderabad Karnataka and Bombay Karnataka with Kalaburagi recording the State’s highest maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius, which was 2 degrees Celsius more than what was recorded on the same day last year as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Raichur recorded a maximum temperature of 41.6 degrees Celsius and Bidar 41 degrees Celsius. They were 2 degrees Celsius more than the maximum temperatures recorded last year. While Koppal recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, Vijayapura recorded a maximum temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius.

The day temperatures rose sharply in Bombay Karnataka with Gadag, Dharwad and Belagavi Airport recording 38 degrees Celsius each and Belagavi city recording 27 degrees Celsius. Chitradurga recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24.4 degrees Celsius.

Vijayapura recorded the region’s highest minimum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius and Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur recorded 27 degrees Celsius. Gadag and Belagavi City recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.

Sources in the IMD said that dry weather prevailed in the State and there would not be any significant change in the weather conditions in the next 24 hours.
