Renowned theatre artiste and film actor C.R. Simha, who passed away on Friday, was cremated at Banashankari crematorium here on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, after his family conducted rituals at his home at Hosakerehalli, the body was kept at the Samsa Bayalu Rangamandira, behind Ravindra Kalakshetra here. Theatre artistes sang Simha’s favourite songs.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Railway Minister M. Mallikarjun Kharge, actors Anant Nag, Sunder Raj, Doddanna, Rangayana Raghu, Arun Sagar, Jayanthi, Jaimala, Bharati Vishnuvardhan, and film directors Rajendra Singh Babu and Bhargava paid their respects.
