The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday upheld the Governor’s action of suspending Mangala Shridhar from the post of member of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) following corruption charges against her.
The court passed the order while dismissing the petition filed by Ms. Shridhar, who had questioned the May 14 order passed by the then Governor H.R. Bhardhwaj, pending the reference for her removal to be made by the President. The Governor had suspended her after the Criminal Investigation Department had filed a charge sheet against her.
