The City Civil and Sessions Court on Wednesday reserved orders on the anticipatory bail application of Hungund MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar for Thursday after hearing the arguments from the prosecution.

Public prosecutor M. Bellukki contended that there was no need for granting bail as the MLA had no immediate apprehension of being arrested. The MLA is accused of assaulting two police constables at a bar here.

Somashekhar alias Some Gowda, the prime accused in the case, is still absconding.
