An unidentified group of people brutally killed a youth in the outskirts of Kalaburgi using fire arms and other lethal weapons on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the group of assailants driving in the outskirts of Kalaburagi hit the rear side of a two-wheeler. The assailants were driving a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The victim, Shabbir, a youth congress leader, was travelling in the two-wheeler.
The assailants pounced on the injured Shabbir, shooting him on the chest and then hacking him to death.
Police later found the abandoned SUV near Hagargundagi village off the NH-218, allegedly used by the assailant.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot. Amit Singh, Superintendent of Police, inspected the spot where Shabbir was murdered and the spot where the abandoned SUV was found.
Investigations are on.
