December 08, 2012 09:19 am | Updated October 18, 2016 01:16 pm IST - Belgaum:

Deputy Chief Minister and State BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa on Friday alleged that the Congress was trying to engineer a split in the Bharatiya Janata Party at the State level to gain upper hand in the next Assembly elections.

Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, Mr. Eshwarappa said that he would not rule out the role of the Congress in splitting the party.

“It is not for the first time that the Congress is trying to weakening its arch rival BJP both at the State and the national level,” he said.
