Congress ticket aspirants can apply till Janaury 31

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has extended the time for receiving applications from aspirants for ticket to contest in the next Legislative Assembly elections till January 31. According to a press release from the party, January 31 would be the last date for both issuing and receiving applications from ticket-seekers. It said that 2,500 applications had been sold and 2,000 persons had applied till date.

Among the ticket-seekers are KPCC president G. Parameshwara and the former Railway Minister C.K. Jaffer Sharief. Speaking to presspersons, Dr. Parameshwara said that Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar had no authority to present his budget.
