Conference from July 18

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) and the Hyderabad Karnataka Region Development Board (HKRDB) will host a two-day international conference on the ‘Life and works of Babasaheb B.R. Ambedkar’ from July 18 at the Ambedkar Bhavan in Gulbarga University here.

Sukhadeo Thorat, chairman, Indian Council of Social Science Research, will deliver the keynote address after formally inaugurating it. CUK Vice-Chancellor M. Maheshwaraiah will preside over the inaugural function and Vice-Chancellor of Gulbarga University S.R. Niranjana will be the guest of honour.

Gary Michael Tartakov from University of Iowa, U.S.; Silva Kalinga Tudor from University of Peradeniva in Sri Lanka; Smita M. Patil from IGNOU, New Delhi; Sudhir Krishnaswamy from Columbia University, U.S.; Uddhab Pyakurel from Kathmandu University, Nepal; Satyanarayana from EFLU in Hyderabad; Siddalingaiah from Bangalore University; and R.S. Deshpande from ISEC, Bengaluru will participate.
