A woman complained that a sub-inspector attached to the Periyapatna police station misbehaved with her and assaulted her, at the public grievances’ meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Thursday.
The woman said her neighbours had encroached upon a portion of her house and when she went to the police station to lodge a complaint , the sub-inspector, Puneeth, misbehaved with her. Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha assured her that action would be taken against the sub-inspector. She asked Deputy Superintendent of Police Jayaram to probe the matter.
