Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday described as “baseless and totally false” the allegation that his son Yathindra was involved in benami property transactions.

In a complaint to the Income Tax Department, a Varthur Kanaka Das has alleged that Mr. Yathindra, along with Matrix Imaging Solutions, had carried out benami transactions in name of the company’s directors, Rajesh Gowda and Thejaswini. The complainant’s claim is that Mr. Yathindra owns several diagnostic centres in Bengaluru and Mumbai, and is a shareholder in Matrix Imaging Solutions.

Replying to questions on this, Mr. Siddaramaiah said there was no grain of truth in the complaint.
