A college student riding pillion on a two-wheeler died on the spot after she was hit by a truck on National Highway 75 on the outskirts of Hassan on Tuesday morning. She has been identified as Sahana B.K. (23), MBA student of Rajeev Institute. She was on her way to college with her classmate Sunil, when the accident occurred.
Sahana is a native of Bellikoplu near Shantigrama in Hassan taluk. Sunil also suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to a hospital in Hassan.
Hassan traffic police have registered a case.
