Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took time off on Sunday to pay a brief visit to his native Siddaramanahundi on the outskirts of the city.

During his private visit to the village, situated at a distance of about 20 km from the city, Mr. Siddaramaiah was accompanied by his wife Parvathi. He offered pooja at the local Siddarameshwara temple and interacted with the locals.

During his visit, Mr. Siddaramaiah also reviewed the progress of construction of his house being built in the village. After interacting with locals and listening to their grievances, he inspected the construction of a community hall being built adjacent to the village temple.

He later returned to his residence in Ramakrishna Nagar in Mysuru before proceeding to Hassan by road.

Several people from different parts of the district presented applications for a host of requests, ranging from financial aid for medical purposes to appeals for resolving land disputes.

Mr. Siddaramaiah collected the applications and issued directions to officials.

Mr. Siddaramaiah arrived here on Saturday afternoon and participated in a host of developmental projects.
