Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said there was no proposal before the government to appoint retired IPS officer M. Kempaiah as his security adviser.
He said there was no substance in such rumours.
It is learnt the Chief Minister dropped his decision to appoint the retired IPS officer as his security adviser following opposition from party legislators. The legislators reportedly submitted a petition to Congress in-charge of Karnataka affairs Digvijay Singh opposing the appointment of Mr. Kempaiah.
