‘CM has no moral right to continue in office’

July 16, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:52 am IST - Mysuru:

Siddaramaiah has no moral ground to continue as Chief Minster after police officers had either committed suicide or resigned unable to withstand the harassment by some of his Cabinet colleagues, said Shobha Karandlaje, MP and former Minister.

At a press conference on Friday, Ms. Shobha and Prathap Simha, MP, said that Karnataka would not tolerate an ineffective, anti-people and anti-officials’ government.

A teacher who was unable to give bribe to a Congress leader for a transfer had consumed poison in Vidhana Soudha, Ms. Shobha said, claiming that she had reports of number of officials planning to opt for VRS.

The BJP MPs have asked the CM to go around the villages and gather public opinion about him and his governance. “People have been cursing him,” they said.

Mr. Manjunath, president of Mysuru district BJP, S.V. Rajeev, general secretary of the BJP were among others present.
