The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting, to be held on Wednesday, is likely to be a stormy affair.
Sources said the meeting was likely to go on for the whole day following a demand by legislators. “Usually CLP meetings are held for less than an hour on the first day of session. The common grouse of legislators is that they do not get an opportunity to raise their concerns during such short meetings. So, the Chief Minister has decided to have a daylong meeting this time,” a source said.
The meeting, scheduled for June 5, was postponed because Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president G. Parameshwara had to go to Delhi to finalise the names of the candidates for the elections to the Legislative Council and the Rajya Sabha.
