CID trying to mislead CBI in Ravi case, says Joshi

March 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - HUBBALLI:

BJP State unit president and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi has alleged that CID officials, who were earlier entrusted with the inquiry in the suspicious death of IAS officer D.K. Ravi, are trying to mislead the CBI inquiry by planting stories.

Speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of the district lead bank review meeting here on Monday, Mr. Joshi said that the State government, through the CID officials, was leaking only select parts of the preliminary inquiry report. “They are planting stories in a ploy to mislead the CBI officials. Even the court order on staying the interim report is not being considered and only select parts are being leaked,” he said.

Mr. Joshi said that he would support the demand of the former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar for questioning all CID officials involved in the inquiry of the case. “If no steps are taken to stop the act of misleading the inquiry, the BJP will raise the issue in the legislature and also take it to the streets,” he said.
