Baburao Chinchansur, Minister for Textiles and Ports, visited several villages in Gurumitkal Assembly constituency near here on Saturday to know about the problems being faced by the villagers.

He visited Kakalwar, Siddapur and M. Tipadampalli villages and listened to the woes being faced by the residents, including drinking water crisis and lack of drains and roads.

Mr. Chinchansur, who is also the district in-charge Minister, directed the officials of the Rural Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation division, to take steps to provide drinking water by drilling new borewells immediately. He also directed them to supply water by tankers on priority.

He also asked the officials of the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company to ensure that drinking water projects were electrified to complete them at the earliest.
