In a joint operation by Child Welfare Committee, Task Force for child protection, and Labour and police departments, 11 child labourers were rescued near Devalapur in Hosapete taluk on Tuesday.
These children, who were below the age of 14, were being taken in a vehicle to work in agricultural fields in the area.
Ten girls were rehabilitated in government certified school for girls and a boy at a government certified school for boys.
Mohammed Sarvar, Child Welfare Officer told The Hindu that the parents of these children were summoned before the Child Welfare Committee to take back their wards after giving an undertaking in writing that they would not be sent to work but to schools.
