A five-year-old girl died on the spot when a car hit the road divider near Kirisave, a village in Channarayapatna taluk, on Friday night. The victim has been identified as M. Laksha, daughter of Mohan Raj, resident of Chikkalsandra in Bengaluru.
Ms. Laksha and her parents were going to Dharmasthala by a hired car. As Keerthi, driver of the car, lost control over the vehicle at around 9.30 p.m., it overturned after hitting the road divider on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway. Mr. Raj has filed a complaint with Hirisave police. — Staff Correspondent
