Centre responsible for Bengaluru violence: Hindu Mahasabha

April 20, 2016 12:24 pm | Updated 01:10 pm IST - HUBBALLI

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has held the Union Government directly responsible for Tuesday's violence in Bengaluru.

The new State president of the Mahasabha, Na. Subramanyraju, told presspersons here on Wednesday that it was natural that the workers were angry against the Union government as it had unilaterally taken decision on PF funds. As it had taken an ‘irresponsible’ decision without responding to the workers’ grievances, it led to the workers’ anger, subsequent violence and loss to public property in Bengaluru.

Both the State and the Centre should first address the workers’s grievances and take steps to release the arrested workers. Compensation should also be paid to the injured police personnel, he said.
