Cauvery issue will be resolved soon, says Jayachandra

Law Minister T.B. Jayachandra has said that the Cauvery issue will be resolved soon.

During a visit to to Sira, his Assembly constituency, on Sunday, Mr. Jayachandra told presspersons that he would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal to discuss the issue.

He said he would hold talks with leaders from the Opposition parties too ahead of the Assembly session. Mr. Jayachandra said he would take steps to upgrade Sira taluk as a district.

A ‘tulabhara’ of the Minister with Mysore Pak was performed at the residence of Chand Pasha, a councillor in the Sira City Municipal Council.
