Unknown persons broke into the Big Bazaar outlet on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway and decamped with at least Rs. 1 lakh cash early on Monday. The burglars entered the outlet from its backside through a window, used duplicate keys and took away money from the cash counter, police said. The incident came to light when the employees opened the outlet at around 9.30 a.m., a senior police officer said.

The video surveillance cameras installed inside the outlet will provide vital clues to the investigators, he said. Deputy Superintendent of Police T.J. Udesha and others visited the outlet and conducted a preliminary investigation.
