With just three days to go for polling in the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, candidates made the best use of Sunday, the last one before the polls, to connect with voters.

While the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi campaigned for the party in Chickballapur, Chikmagalur and Haveri, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah campaigned in and around Mangalore. Actor Jaimala added glamour to the campaign.

The former External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna canvassed in Anekal, and the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda toured Channarayapatna, Arsikere and Kadur.

The former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and the former Minister B. Sriramulu toured Mysore and Channarayapatna. Another former Chief Minister and BJP leader Jagadish Shettar sought votes for the party in Haveri constituency.

In Bangalore South, if ‘rebel star’ and Housing Minister M.H. Ambareesh campaigned for Congress candidate Nandan Nilekani, ‘golden star’ Ganesh and his wife Shilpa campaigned for the BJP candidate Ananth Kumar. Members of “Together with Nandan” organised an event in front of Lalbagh to connect with the voters. Over 30 drummers created a lively atmosphere for the morning walkers and drummed up support for the Congress candidate. Mr. Nilekani’s wife Rohini Nilekani campaigned with theatre personality Arundhati Nag.
