V. Sunil Kumar, State president of the BJP Yuva Morcha, has said the morcha will hold a monthlong ‘UPA hatao, desh bachao’ campaign in the State from October 20 to register protest against the “anti-people” policies of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre.

He told journalists here on Tuesday that the campaign would start from Hubli and would be extended to all taluk and district headquarters in the State.

He said the campaign was aimed at creating awareness about the “misrule” of the Congress-led government at the Centre.

Mr. Sunil Kumar blamed the economic policies of the Centre for the spiralling prices of essential commodities. Appu Pattanshetty, MLA, was among those present.
