Cabinet reshuffle: SPS to write to Sonia

June 26, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 02:20 pm IST - DHARWAD:

Condemning the inclusion of K.R. Ramesh Kumar and Santosh Lad into the State Cabinet, Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya (SPS) has said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has again fumbled while choosing politicians with highest integrity as Ministers.

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, SPS founder president S.R. Hiremath expressed reservations over the Chief Minister inducting Mr. Kumar and Mr. Lad, who are facing allegations of irregularities.

There was a land grab case against Mr. Ramesh Kumar and Mr. Lad was facing charges of illegal mining.

The SPS would write to Congress president Sonia Gandhi seeking removal of these Ministers. Copies of documents proving the allegations against these ministers would also be submitted to Ms. Gandhi. “If the Congress high command fails to sack both the ministers, the SPS will file a case before the Forest Bench of the Supreme Court,” he said.
