Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha functionaries held a bullock cart procession in Kolar on Thursday against rampant corruption in government offices.

A bullock cart protest was staged in the town on Thursday condemning rampant corruption in Government offices.

Hundreds of people along with bullock carts, held a procession from the Inspecton Bunglow to Deputy Commissioner’s office, raising slogans against people’s representatives for their alleged failure to execute development works in their respective constituencies.

Addressing the protesters, state unit president of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) alleged that work in Government offices is not completed unless bribe is offered. Poor people are being directed to go to private hospitals when they visit government hospitals for treatment, he said.

The organisation also charged the authorities for failure to contain sand and granite mafia in the district.

District unit convener K. Srinivasa Gowda participated among others.
